Mr. De Rooy graduated from Calvin College with a B.S.E. in 1985. He completed a M.S. in Engineering in 1986 from the University of Michigan. He was the first Calvin 4-year program graduate to become a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Biography
From 1986 to 1999 he has worked as a Structural Engineer for URS Greiner. His work includes structural design and retrofit of industrial structures, multistory steel structures, multistory concrete structures, theater design and large high school complexes. One of his projects includes Calvin College DeVries Hall, which is a 4-story concrete waffle slab structure.
