Calvin LifeWork
Calvin LifeWork is a set of online tools designed to help you take next steps with confidence – from internships to finances, first jobs to promotions, conflicts to teams. However you’re being shaped, we’ll help you dive right in!
What you'll learn
Your journey will cover four main areas:
Vocation
Discover what God is calling you to do and who he is calling you to be. Realize you have gifts that will transcend your career—gifts that you can use at all times for God's kingdom.
Career Readiness
Most of us will spend much of our adult life working. Whether you are planning to go to grad school or get hired right after university, we'll help you pursue your career path with intentionality and purpose.
Financial Literacy
Bills, rent, budgeting. Taxes, housing decisions, investing for the future. No matter what intimidates you about managing your finances, we'll equip you to thrive in these areas.
Leadership
Be a leader not only in your field of work and study, but in your church and community. Your voice matters, and we’ll make sure you know how to use it to lead with conviction.
What it looks like
Career coaching
Throughout the program, career coaches are available to help you dive deeper into any of the program topics, from exploring career options to preparing for internship opportunities. Calvin’s coaches are experts in career readiness, networking, and the job search. Plus, they’re some of your biggest fans and encouragers.
Live and learn
Dive deep into interactive learning through 34 online modules, getting your questions answered from Calvin faculty, staff, and alumni. Complete one module or all 34, whatever fits your unique needs. The more modules you complete, the more opportunities to earn prizes.
Time well spent
The Calvin LifeWork program is flexible and designed to fit in with your schedule of courses, extracurricular activities, and other commitments. Through researching prior participants in the program, we can confidently say students who completed Calvin LifeWork modules were more career ready by their senior year than students who had not. We invite all students to participate—and live out the results!
