Quality. Affordability. Outcomes.

These are the three data points Money focused on in creating its 2022 The Best Colleges in America, which was released earlier this week. Calvin University is one of the 623 institutions nationwide to be featured.

Net price of a degree, loan repayment rates, and median earnings are among the factors that Money considered in putting together the list.

Calvin University awards financial aid to 100% of its students, driving the total cost of tuition plus room and board down significantly. The university also guarantees through the Calvin Promise at least $21,000 in scholarships per year (for up to four years) to any admitted students with a 3.80 GPA or higher.

According to the most recent data from the Department of Education, Calvin University graduates pay back their loans at a much higher rate than their peers. Only 1.6% of Calvin grads default on their loans, which is a fraction when compared to the national average of 9.7% and statewide average of 10.6%.

Calvin grads also get jobs and or go onto top graduate schools. According to Calvin’s most recent outcomes report, which collects data from the most recent graduating class, more than 99% of grads reported they were employed and/or pursuing graduate studies within nine months of receiving their degree. Graduates from this class reported being employed by 353 organizations in 41 states and nine countries and attending 70 different graduate schools in 25 states and four countries.
