Janae Boehm
Majors: International Relations and Spanish
Minor: Social Work
Janae is an upcoming senior studying International Relations and just trying to figure out her next steps! She is excited for this opportunity to learn about vocational ministry and discern how she can be involved in the Church wherever she may live and work.
Seth Crampsey
Major: Religion
Minor: Ministry Leadership
Seth is a Junior studying Religion and ministry from Newfields, NH. He plans to go into Youth Ministry after graduation. In his time at Calvin he has played on the D3 hockey team, served as a Barnabas in his Dorm, worked as an Orientation Intern, and even worked on his (slowly improving) dance moves in Dance Guild and Rangeela. He loves getting to know all sorts of different people at Calvin and hearing their varying perspectives and experiences. Seth is interested in the Jubilee Fellows program because he wants to get experience working in a church and hopes this experience will help him learn more about the inner-workings of church life.
Weston Fields
Majors: Religion, Philosophy, Writing
Minor: Ministry Leadership
Weston Fields is a junior from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He is studying Religion, Philosophy, Writing, and Ministry Leadership, and is releasing a novel this Spring. He is interested in the Jubilee Fellows program because he wants to be more involved in ministry work.
Aimee Garnett
Major: Social Work

Aidan Hillman
Majors: Religion, Philosophy and Spanish
Minor: Ministry Leadership
Aidan Hillman is junior from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is majoring in Religion, Philosophy, and Spanish; he is also minoring in Ministry Leadership. At Calvin, Aidan has participated in the Ministry Leadership Cohort, participated in chapel teams, and served as a Barnabas. Outside of Calvin, Aidan has been the youth group leader for a small group of boys since 2019, served as an intern at Keystone Community Church from 2020-2022, and worked two summers at Camp Henry as a camp counselor. Aidan has been blessed to feel a call towards ministry since an early age, so he continues to seek opportunities to invest into that calling. He hopes that the Jubilee Fellows program is another way in which he can responds to his call towards ministry.
Cath Kortman
Majors: Music and Philosophy
Minor: Ministry Leadership
Cath is a junior studying Music, Philosophy, and Ministry Leadership. She led worship for the first time when she was in seventh grade with the gracious support of her parent’s church. She has since led worship at other area churches and at Calvin. Lately, she has been feeling an increased call towards pastoral ministry and attending seminary, and is excited to explore more about this call through the Jubilee Fellows program. Cath is on the cross country and track and field teams at Calvin, sings with Capella and Women’s Chorale, and was a member of the Ministry Leadership Cohort and the Worship Apprentice team. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, caring for her houseplants, and watching Star Wars.
Karis Schoon
Majors: English, Social Work, and Psychology
Minor: Ministry Leadership
Karis is a sophomore studying English, Social Work, and Psychology with a minor in Ministry Leadership. She was born in Grand Rapids, but grew up in Southern Ontario before making her was back to Michigan in 2019. So far in her college journey, Karis has served as a Student Senator, been a part of the Ministry Leadership Cohort, and worked in Residence Life as a Residence Assistant. Karis is looking forward to serving a local church as a Jubilee Fellow and learning more about what it takes to put together a service every week. She is exploring a call to ministry and hopes that her time as a Jubilee Fellow will help her discern her call.
Emilyn Shortridge
Majors: Linguistics and Asian Studies
Minor: Ministry Leadership
Emilyn Shortridge is a third-year student from Plymouth, Michigan studying Linguistics and Asian Studies with a minor in Ministry Leadership. After experiencing a strong, loving community and a deepening faith in God's call to the Ministry Leadership Cohort and to a year as a Barnabas leading discipleship events, Emilyn is eager to see what God has in store for her as a Jubilee Fellow, whatever that may turn out to be. This internship will be Emilyn's first experience in a position of service within the church, so she is excited to learn about how the church operates beyond the pews, how God works through the servants of the church, and how that will impact her future calling in God's ministry.
Madeline Witvliet
Major: English
Minors: Psychology and Entrepreneurship
Madeline Witvliet is a junior from Grand Rapids, MI. She is studying English with a concentration in writing. Madeline has enjoyed working for the Calvin Center for Faith & Writing for the last two years. She loves singing in Capella, cooking with friends in the apartments, exploring the world we live in, and worshiping with her chapel team. Madeline is excited to embrace Jubilee Fellows as a learning opportunity and see how this next step informs her vocational goals.
