Workshop Location
The workshop will be held at Calvin University, which is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Participants will be housed in the Prince Conference Center on campus. All talks will take place in Room 110 of the Science Building. See the campus map for the locations of the Prince Center and the Science Building.
Transportation
The Gerald R. Ford Airport (GRR) is located just a 15 minute drive from campus and is served by most major airlines.
Grand Rapids is easily reached by car from Chicago or Detroit (click here for driving directions). Another good option is the high speed car ferry from Milwaukee to Muskegon (lake-express.com). There is daily Amtrak rail service between Grand Rapids and Chicago (the Pere Marquette).
Housing
Housing is available at the Prince Conference Center on the Calvin University campus. Hotel rooms are equipped with either two queen beds or one king bed. The cost for each room is $89.00 per night ($97.01 with tax). A complimentary deluxe continental breakfast is included. Participants who are requesting financial support from the workshop are encouraged to share rooms.
In order to receive the conference rate you must reserve your room on the workshop registration form. Room reservations must be made by May 8, 2018. On that date the block of rooms that has been set aside for workshop participants will be released. It is possible that rooms will still be available after May 8, but it cannot be guaranteed.
