Have you received any awards?

Describe your experience at Calvin in three words.
Enlightening, Enriching, Diverse.
What led you to Calvin University and the study of music?
I became familiar with Calvin through a couple of my older siblings who attended and graduated from Calvin. I started to be more seriously interested in the study of music when I became increasingly involved in music during high school and I began working with music in technology. Calvin offered me the opportunity to study music in depth and explore other fields in which music is involved.
What do you enjoy most about being a music major?
I enjoy the experience of finding connections between what I learn in the classroom to music I am involved with daily, whether that be general listening, performance, music in films, etc.
When do you plan to graduate and with what degree?
I am graduating in May 2017 with a Music Theory and Composition Major and a Film and Media Minor.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
In the future, I want to be a professional composer and sound designer for films.
