The CCIB seeks to support Calvin University faculty and qualifying business students who have extraordinary potential to become business scholars and leaders, through student fellowships and grants.

Ongoing support of scholarship

The CCIB works to attract, retain, encourage, and grow Calvin business faculty by providing ongoing support of scholarship and engagement through faculty fellowships and grants. FAQs

How can CCIB awards be used?
Awards may be used to fund research seminars or research assistants, to assist with publications, to develop new approaches to curriculum, to enhance professional development, and much more.

Do I have to be a member of the Calvin business faculty to apply for an award?
Not necessarily. Any Calvin faculty member, regardless of discipline, may apply for a CCIB grant. However, the project presented must be focused on some business or business-related topic. The project's principle investigator or project leader should also be a Calvin business faculty member. Grant requests from Calvin Business faculty receive priority in funding decisions.

May I use a CCIB award with an award from another source?
Yes, though priority is given to projects that have no other means of support. Priority is also given to research projects that involve students or business practitioners.

How often may I apply for a CCIB award?
Typically, awards and grants will be given to a project once, and one per year per faculty member.

What must I include in my grant/award application?
A list of all required documentation is included on the grant application form found here.

When are grant/award applications due?
Applications for awards may be submitted anytime throughout the year. Typically, an applicant will be notified about a decision within 14 days.
