Entrada is a four-week college learning program for high school juniors and seniors. You’ll earn an Entrada Scholarship of $4,000—renewable for up to five years.

Eligibility
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. legal permanent residency.
- A high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
- Enrolled in a college preparatory track in high school.
Grade 12

Enroll into Entrada
- After you’ve been admitted to Calvin, you’ll fill out a short Entrada application. There are four short questions—it should only take about 15 or 20 minutes.
- Send one letter of recommendation to entrada@calvin.edu. (If you applied with the Common Application, we will use those recommendations.)
Grade 12

Entrada is available to seniors who have applied and been admitted to Calvin.
Eligibility
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency.
- A high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
- Admitted to Calvin University as a student for the Fall semester.
More about what you can expect
- 1. Faith and Learning
Choose a course that interests you and be taught by a professor who is a committed Christian and loves teaching. You’ll learn alongside other Entrada students and current Calvin students. You’ll also get your own academic coach who will help you do your very best.
- 2. College Credit
You’ll learn a lot! That means you’ll earn college credits that count towards your degree at Calvin or a different school of your choice. (The Calvin registrar’s office can assist with transferring your credits.)
- 3. College Living
Make friends! You’ll live in the dorms with your fellow Entrada students and enjoy college campus benefits like the gymnasium, pool, and dining hall. You’ll also gain access to campus activities like worship services, Bible studies, plus service learning opportunities in the Grand Rapids community.
- 4. Money for College
Entrada Scholars get between $6,000–$10,000 in scholarships which renew each year they’re an undergraduate student at Calvin. (The $10,000 includes a $4,000 Entrada Scholars award, a $4,000 Mosaic Award, and the $2,000 Visit Grant—plus an additional $3,000 award if you’re the first student in your immediate family to complete a bachelor’s degree. Costs and scholarships
Application to the Entrada Scholars Program is free. Once scholars are accepted to the program, scholars are expected to pay a non-refundable deposit of $200 to confirm their space. The total cost of the program to our scholars is $750. Financial assistance to pay the remainder of the enrollment fee is available for those who qualify. Please reach out if you require a payment plan.

Due to grants that cover other program costs, scholars are expected to cover less than 20% of the program cost, through a single non-refundable fee of $750. Financial assistance and payment plan option are available. Please contact us for details.
This program is designed for high school juniors and seniors who identify with a historically marginalized population or underserved community. Students of African, Hispanic, Asian, or Native American descent are encouraged to apply. The student must be currently enrolled in either their junior or senior year of high school (grades 11 and 12) and meet the following criteria:
