At Calvin, you’ll be equipped with the resources and skills to inspire others. That means you may find yourself starting a brand new student organization, heading a task force for Student Senate or writing a Bible study for your floor.

As early as your freshman year, you can be a leader on campus. Run for Student Senate, volunteer for dorm leadership positions or start your own student organization!

Dorm leadership

Start as an activities coordinator for your floor and you could go on to be a Barnabas, cultural discerner, community partnership coordinator or even your dorm president! Learn more.

Worship leaders

Audition to play for chapel or L.O.F.T. on a regular basis. After your first year, apply for the Worship Apprentice program. You can also help lead dorm worship or play for student-run worship activities like Verve and ReigKnight. Learn more.

Student senators

Land a spot on Student Senate as a first-year student and help improve the student experience at Calvin. Later, run for one of the vice-presidential positions or student body president! Learn more.

John M. Perkins Leadership Fellows

A small group of students who are selected to participate in a series of leadership development opportunities during their first two years of college. These opportunities prepare Perkins Fellows to address big issues like poverty, injustice, racism and materialism.
